The Question: 'Who Are You?'

Every morning, when the glass doors of Novacorp slid open, Shriya felt a part of herself vanish. The part that hummed old Hindi songs while cooking, that smiled at street dogs, that paused to smell night jasmine on her way home—none of that fit past the biometric scanner. She was the Assistant Communications Manager here, a polished title wrapped in endless spreadsheets, muted meetings, and mechanical smiles. But what chipped her spirit most wasn't the long hours or the never-ending deadlines. It was one question. Always the same. Always from Mr. Arvind Khanna, her boss, with his grey suit, colder eyes, and a habit of asking without looking. "Who are you?" He said it without pause, as if it was part of the welcome script. Whenever she made a presentation, shared a strategy, or even offered a suggestion, he’d stop her midway— "Who are you?" Not to know her, no. But to remind her that she was no one. That her words didn’t matter. At first, she smiled through it, c...

ECHOES ACROSS TIME

Aarav and Nisha arrived on Havelock Island, hoping to escape the rush of their everyday lives. The island felt untouched—quiet beaches, clear water, and a silence that seemed from another time. Their hotel was small and old, filled with antique furniture and forgotten memories. While Aarav rushed to the beach, Nisha lingered. She found a leather-bound diary hidden beneath old letters, worn with age. The diary belonged to a woman named Shivani, dated 1970. Curious, Nisha asked the hotel manager about it. He smiled gently. “It’s been here for as long as I can remember,” he said, “but no one knows how it got here.” Nisha began reading. Shivani had left everything behind—her family, her friends, even her fiancé—to live in solitude on the island. She didn’t explain why, only that she needed to step away from the life she knew. “I needed to get away from the noise,” Shivani wrote. “I wanted to be invisible, to live without the weight of anyone’s expectations. There is peace in being f...

Why we love fiction?

We all want another world, a fictional world right? Fiction leads us to a journey, to places, in different time periods, with various characters. All these give us an escape route! Some days back, I was watching a video about writing a fiction, that, how can one engage people through fiction writing. I suddenly realised, reading a fiction is so basic thing for so many reasons! One should ask that, why should we read fiction or watch! Simply, what is the reason that we love fiction so much? Some reasons are: * It gives us a different world where one can understand every details of the happenings. * Help improving imagination through this abstract world and it will start playing with our senses. We started to feel and realise deeply. * Fiction is a beautiful illumination, isn't it? Sometimes we all place ourselves with the character and started to think about the situation that, 'would I do the same?'. Through questioning slowly somehow we begin to understand ourselves too. *...

5 reasons for why we need to share our stories.

The stories are meant to be told, otherwise what is the point to have them. Isn't it? And we all have stories inside us. We have to tell our stories, to present a new vision to the people, to the world. One's story can inspire someone, give an understanding of the situation, know the facts and it's helpful for both ways like, storyteller itself, who has urged to say and the people who patiently grasp it. According to me, the most important causes for the need to share our stories are:  1) Allowance : First thing is, we are giving a permission to another to know the story of inside when you make yourself prepare to share those experiences, people started to get to know you. You bring a brief picture in front of the people (light) to shine on. 2) Reliability : When we are sharing our things, we are basically unmasking ourselves. Presenting own self is tough sometimes, but presenting own self with authenticity is must. People trust you because they invest their time to read ...

But these things are not that much colourful as the movie cuts take place. Rather, if we step into the real world, I guess, we'll see, it has a gray shade. Digging Into Those Days

Reminiscing The Way I realised... In this time of Covid 19, we all are inside for the time of infinity I guess. Due to this situation, our mood is going just up and drastically down from time to time. So, one afternoon I sat on the roof and my mind went back to the past times without any time machine obviously! That is the good and equally bad thing I feel that our mind can go anywhere, anytime without any effort, perhaps without any hesitation too. When I think about my older self, I see the picture of a free, boundless person. Rather, it'll be justified if I put the word extravagant. So reckless that don't even give a thought about the consequences. Feel the same way? But today, I consider myself a more different person, wise one and sincere. Sometimes, I really think that how did I manage to come to this place, trying to connect those dots to clearly see the way through I came here! I used to add in my life, many things, people, peculiar doings which are unnec...

5 WAYS TO OVERCOME LONELINESS.

HOW TO DEAL WITH LONELINESS ??? Haruki Murakami, in his novel "Sputnik Sweetheart" talked about the spaceship 'Sputnik', where the dog alone named Laika went there, for traveling to the eternity. And Murakami wondered, how did the dog feel, totally alone in this whole universe, what did he concentrate about there! So, like Laika, we all are the same. Sometimes we all feel so lonely, there are a lot of people around us but we don't feel any connections with them. Murakami's this thought is one of the deepest thought I've ever read. From this, I want to say that when you feel that much of loneliness, everything around you started feeling so misleading, then, firstly just accept what's your feeling at that moment, but I would say, don't live in that feeling long. Feeling of loneliness can damage you immensely and resulted into depression. I would say, you should stop thinking that way. I will suggest, in loneliness, try some different things to e...
